바로 드래곤 애쉬였다. 1999년 걸작 [Viva La Revolution]에서 확 꽃혔던 특유의 힙합+락의 느낌을 생생하게 기억하고 있기에 무려 2017년까지 앨범이 나오고 있는 줄 몰랐다가 꽤나 반가운 마음에 비행기 음악코너에 실려 있던 2014년의 이들의 앨범 [Faces]를 듣게 되었다.
많은 곡이 귀에 확 꽂혔는데 특히 힙합쪽 색채가 많이 줄고 펑크락 색감이 더 강렬한 것이 나이를 거꾸로 먹나..싶은 느낌이었다. 특히 오늘 소개하는 이 곡과 아쉽게도 유튜브엔 없는 The live란 곡, 정말 좋아서 한 7번은 계속 들은 듯.
이런 직선적인 곡은 정말 오랜만이다. 후련하다.
