1982년 발매된 시티팝 열풍의 선봉장인 야마시타 타츠로의 명곡 [Sparkle]보다 3년전의 곡으로 인트로가 매우 유사한 명 어번훵크 발라드곡.
이런 곡이 핫 100 chart에서 고작 37위를 찍던 시대라니...
요즘 시티팝 및 훵크의 부활시대에 다시 재조명 받아 마땅한 곡이라 생각한다. 가사도 굉장히 좋음..

이 곡이 발매되고 1년후인 1980년 야마시타 타츠로가 이 곡을 부른 버젼도 있다.70년대말 어번훵크의 전형을 들려주던 밴드중 하나였던 Niteflyte의 대표작, "If you want it".
특이하게도 훵크, 소울 밴드였지만 흑인만으로 구성된 것이 아니라, 보컬도 흑백이 공동으로, 그리고 연주파트도 섞여 있는 구성.
역시 이런 계열은 본국에서조차 미지근한 뮤지션까지 일본에서 기가 막히게 알아보고 포착하던 시절 (이 장르팬으로 항상 부럽..아쉽..)
